Is this a stable version ?

    • Acquin Dmello

      Yes Raven :)
Reviews are good as of now. You can try this ROM and if you find it useless, then you always have an option to port your device back to stock firmware. But CyanogenMod are always amazing !!

o got a problemm.. after i press reboot system, the phone does not reboot.. the recovery mode screen re appear again and again….how..?

    • Roque

See that you have followed all the steps correctly. Try repeating all the steps. If still the problem persists then it must be due to improper installation of your recovery image. Try installing it again.

The Rom may not be compatible with your device. Go to XDA Developers Original post to refer the developers post.

        • Roque

Just google for a different Rom and try with the same procedure. That may help you.

  • HeyHey

‘ Advanced –> Wipe Dalvik cache ‘ is not displayed in recovery mode screen.

  • Ben

wonder if there might be a newer version of the rom out there thats more then alpha release?

    • Roque

    • Roque

You should be on with your installed Rom after step 11. If not, then this Rom may not be working for your device. Try some other Custom Rom.

  • Ed

Hello I had no probleme, only 1 thing I miss and that is a camera option and a camera app wont work

    • Roque

This is a Custom Rom, and developers don’t promise you everything working. You need to wait for the next version release of this Rom, or you can try installing other stable Rom.

      • Ed

        oke thnx

  • Abhishek

same problem as several others had – Device is stuck in recovery mode after Step 11. Please help!

    • Roque

Check if your device is the same mentioned in the tutorial, since Ed had no problem installing it on his device.

      • Abhishek

Its working now! After getting repeatedly stuck in recovery mode after Step 11, I rebooted the device in download mode and reinstalled recovery image using Odin. Now I am enjoying ICS on my phone. Thanks everyone.

        • Roque

I am glad that it worked for you :) Congrats :)

Dear Roque, pl. help me out. I’m stuck at the very beginning itself ! You mentioned that we gotta make sure that device’s drivers are installed & you provided the link for Samsung Kies in that regard. But I can’t get it installed on my windows XP. While it’s installation is in process it gives an error ‘Not connected to internet, can’t proceed with installation” when in fact, I am connected to net & its working just fine. I have also disabled firewall & tried to run it as administrator. But sadly, can’t get through it. I was hoping may be you (or anyone here(pls)) could help me with this or provide some alternative !? And, is it veryyyy necessary to get kies installed ? :P can’t I just proceed to update my samsung galaxy s plus following the steps you mentioned without it ? :) :P ! Any help would be very much appreciated :)

    • Roque

Click here to download the Standalone setup for Kies. You won’t be asked for Internet connection now. Please feel free to ask us about any query you have.

      • Madhavi Chaturvedi

Thank you for the reply. I tried the link, unfortunately, it still persists… gives me the same error :( !

Wish I had an alternative. Nevertheless, thank you for your help. Appreciate it. I guess I’ll now just have to wait for samsung people to launch an official update.. (Though, I won’t hold my breath :P ) !

        • Roque

Okay. But you can try updating using some other computer or laptop. If Kies has some problem, you will know. Or there may be some problem with your phone hardware.

          • Madhavi Chaturvedi

If only I could do that :( ! Anyway, I’ll take my phone to samsung care, see if they agree to do an unofficial update though it’s highly unlikely but I’ll take my chances. :)
