Before You Proceed–>>

  • This tutorial is strictly intended for Samsung Galaxy Pop/Mini with model number GT-S5570. Using this tutorial on any other device or any other variant of Samsung Galaxy Pop/Mini may brick your device.
  • Before you proceed make sure that your device is rooted and you have a recovery image like ClockworkMod recovery installed on your phone.
  • Ensure that you have USB drivers for your device installed on your PC. If you don’t then click here.
  • Enable USB Debugging mode. Go to Options > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.
  • Backup all your personal information on your device.
    Use AppBak to backup all your apps.
    Use SMS Backup and Restore to backup messages.
    You can backup your contacts using gmail .
  • Charge your device battery with at least 85% of power.

How To Update Samsung Galaxy Pop/Mini GT-S5570 To Android ICS 4.0.4 | CM 9.1 Custom Rom

  1. Initially you need to download the Android ICS 4.0.4 CM 9.1 Custom Rom file and save the zip file to a convenient folder on your PC.
  2. Now download Google Apps and save it to a convenient folder as well.
  3. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.
  4. Now copy the file to your phone’s SD card. It is recommended that you copy the file in the root folder of your SD card.
  5. Now turn off your Phone and unplug the USB cable and boot your phone into Recovery mode.
  6. You can boot your device in recovery mode by pressing and holding together Home ‘+ ‘ Power ‘ buttons and when you see the recovery mode screen, release these buttons.
    Use volume keys to navigate through menu and Power key to select an option while you are in recovery mode.
  7. In ClockworkMod Recovery Mode select ‘ Wipe data/Factory reset and confirm on the next screen by pressing power button.
  8. Then select ‘ Flash ZIP From SD Card ‘ and then select Choose ZIP From SD Card and browse to the file that you copied to your device’s SD card in step 4.
  9.  Select the file and confirm by pressing power button. The installation will start.
  10. Once the installation is finished, install the google apps by following step 8.
  11. When you finish installing google apps, select Go back and select Reboot system now.
  12. Now your device will boot with the whole new Look and feel of ICS 4.0.4.

      Please try this tutorial with some different ROM. Please download the Rom from here. Just follow the entire tutorial as you did earlier, but select the Rom which i have linked in this comment.
