  • Please disable all the Antivirus programs running on your computer as the may interpret the updation process.

How To Update Nexus 7 To Official Android 4.2.2 | JDQ39 Firmware

  1. Initially you need to download Nexus 4 Build JDQ39 and save the zip file to a convenient folder on your PC.
  2. Now turn off your device and unplug the USB cable.
  3. Boot your phone into Bootloader mode by pressing and holding Volume Up+Volume Down buttons together until Fastboot Menu screens turns up.
  4. Now in the Fastboot Menu you will see Start in the to right.
  5. Press the Volume Up button till you reach the Recovery option and press Power button to select Recovery option.
  6. When you see Android Logo with a Red exclamation point icon, press Volume Up + Power button together.
  7. Now navigate to “Apply update from adb” using Volume button and select it using Power button.
  8. Now connect your device to your computer via USB cable.
  9. Now on your computer, navigate to the folder where you have downloaded the file in step 1.
  10. Now in that folder, hold the right Shift Key and right click in the empty space and select Open command prompt here.
  11. In the command prompt, type the following command and hit enter:
    • adb sideload 6ece895ecb23.signed-nakasi-JDQ39-from-JOP40D.6ece895e.zip
  12. The update will automatically be installed.
  13. Reboot your device now.
