    Hey, it’s 4.1.2 not 4.2.1
Title made me temporarily happy because I was waiting for this ROM, but not for long :(

    • Roque

We will be really happy to help you. Please let us know what problems you find with this tutorial or ROM.

  • Martin

I can’t locate the Android 4.2.1 rom anywhere in the downloaded file.

    • Roque

Don’t extract the downloaded file. You need to paste the entire zip file as it is on your SD card and then extract it.

      • BryanHeadrick

then maybe step 4 shouldn’t read “Now find Android 4.2.1 Rom zip file in the folder that you have extracted in step 1 and copy it to the SD card on your phone”

  • BryanHeadrick

I keep seeing the “this build is for development purposes only…” message after i flash the boot.img – even after I flash the rom from recovery – and it stays like that indefinitely, unlike what happens when you boot into recovery.

    • Roque

Doesn’t matter if you see that message. But this is really for development purpose. If you need it for daily use, avoid installing it. There are a lot of other tutorials on technikan for HTC One V. You can try them. Some of the Roms are quite stable as well. No bugs, no errors.

  • Radhey

    • Roque

Well this Rom is for development purpose and you should know before what you are doing. So if any problem persist then you can just switch back to Original stock firmware.

Thanks Aquin this worked for me but not with the provided boot.img file instead I used boot-TK-USB-CM10-201210112240.img file from http://www.mediafire.com/?s36xc3tpkzi3s

However I am still facing some problems. Like my keyboard is failing to start i.e. its not working and Home button is not working.

Can you please confirm if this is due to boot file or the problem is with the package? If I use some other file can it work?

    Please answer asap.

    • Roque

Ok achin. First of all, these are custom builds. So you can’t expect everything working since these roms are under development stage. You can try their bug fixes in future. Try to degrade your custom Rom to some lower version of Android.
