Samsung is no longer going to provide any major update like 4.0 ICS for Galaxy Y S5360 and it won’t get any Jelly Bean update as well. Here we bring you with a Custom Rom which will let you experience Jelly Bean on your Galaxy Y S5360. Follow the below given tutorial to successfully update your Galaxy Y S5360 to Jelly Blast 4.1 Custom Rom. It is said to be the most stable and fastest Rom ever available for Galaxy Y s5260.

Before You Proceed–>>

  • This tutorial is strictly intended for Samsung Galaxy Y with model number  S5360. Using this tutorial on any other device or any other variant of Samsung Galaxy Y  may brick your device.
  • Before you proceed make sure that your device is rooted and you have ClockworkMod recovery installed on your phone. Check out How To Root And Install CWM Recovery On Galaxy Y GT-S5360.
  • Ensure that you have USB drivers for your device installed on your PC. If you don’t then click here.
  • Enable USB Debugging mode. Go to Options > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.
  • Backup all your personal information on your device.
    Use AppBak to backup all your apps.
    Use SMS Backup and Restore to backup messages.
    You can backup your contacts using gmail .
  • Charge your device battery with atleast 70% of power.
  • Please disable all the Antivirus programs running on your computer as the may interpret the updation process.

How To Update Galaxy Y S5360 To Android Jelly Bean 4.1 | Jelly Blast Custom Rom

  1. Initially download JellyBlast 4.1 Custom Rom file on your PC. Check the original XDA thread for future updates.
  2. Download Google Apps Package and save it a convenient folder on your PC.
  3. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.
  4. Copy the downloaded file on the internal SD card of your phone.
  5. Now turn off your phone and boot your phone into recovery mode.
  6. Now to get in the Recovery Mode, press and hold Volume Up +Home+Power  buttons together. Now you will see an exclamation mark on display, again hold your Volume Up and Power buttons. Now you will be in recovery mode.
    Note-You can use Volume Buttons to navigate and Power/Home button to select.
  7. Now select ‘ Wipe data/Factory reset and confirm on the next screen by pressing power button.
  8. Now select ‘ Wipe cache ‘ and confirm by pressing power button.
  9. Now select ‘ Advanced –> Wipe Dalvik cache and confirm by pressing power button .
  10. Then select ‘ Flash ZIP From SD Card ‘ and then select Choose ZIP From SD Card and browse to the JellyBlast 4.2 ROM file that you copied to your device’s SD card in step 4. Select the file and confirm by pressing power button. The installation will start.
  11. Once the installation is finished, install the google apps package by following step 10.
  12. When you finish installing google apps package, select Go back and select Reboot system now.
  13. Now your device will boot with the whole new Look and feel of Jelly Bean 4.1.

That’s it!! You have successfully updated your Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 to Android Jelly Bean 4.1 via Jelly Blast Rom!

      Please let me know if your phone is CDMA or GSM. ? Because this tutorial works only for GSM phones.

      This is an older version of the ROM at its development stage. This Rom has been updated recently and made to work almost fully. Please google for XDA and try finding the latest version of this Rom.
